Within that complaint, Dritan Kapllani Jr. is identified as Co-Conspirator 1 (CC-1). As of May 2026, Kapllani has not been formally indicted or arrested. Johnston faces charges of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and conspiracy to commit money laundering, each carrying up to 20 years in prison (40 years total exposure). ZachXBT stated he deliberately withheld publication until after the federal criminal complaint against Johnston was unsealed on May 11, 2026. The investigation was anchored in on-chain wallet tracing, a Discord call recording from April 23, 2026, and cross-referencing with the court filing that named CC-1. The primary ZachXBT post (x.com/zachxbt/status/2054170002945987029) describes Kapllani as regularly displaying luxury vehicles, Richard Mille watches, private jets, and nightlife activity on social media platforms including Instagram and Telegram.","heading":"ZachXBT Public Investigation","severity":"critical","sources":[{"credibility":2,"name":"ZachXBT on X: Meet Dritan Kapllani Jr., a US based threat actor tied to $19M from social engineering thefts","type":"social_media","url":"https://x.com/zachxbt/status/2054170002945987029"},{"credibility":2,"name":"CCN: ZachXBT Exposes Dritan Kapllani Jr.: Teen Allegedly Linked to $19M in Crypto Social-Engineering Thefts","type":"news_article","url":"https://www.ccn.com/news/crypto/zachxbt-band-4-band-flex-crypto-theft-dritan-kapllani-jr-19m/"},{"credibility":2,"name":"CoinPedia: ZachXBT Names Teen Behind $19 Million Crypto Theft Who Flaunted It On Instagram","type":"news_article","url":"https://coinpedia.org/news/zachxbt-names-teen-behind-19-million-crypto-theft-who-flaunted-it-on-instagram/"}]},{"content":"On March 14, 2026, 185 BTC valued at approximately $13 million at the time of the theft were allegedly stolen from a victim through social engineering. According to ZachXBT's on-chain analysis, co-conspirators including Trenton Johnston and Kapllani communicated on the day of the theft. The following day, March 15, 2026, approximately $5.3 million (recorded at a peak Exodus wallet balance of $5,383,534.01) was transferred to an Ethereum wallet ending in 0x4487 (full address: 0x4487db847db2fc99372a985743a26f46e0b2bba6) that ZachXBT attributed to Kapllani. During this call, Kapllani allegedly screen-shared an Exodus wallet displaying approximately $3.68 million in cryptocurrency. ZachXBT traced this wallet address and linked it to the alleged receipt of stolen funds from the March 14, 2026 theft. In a second portion of the recording, Dritan is alleged to have mocked John Daghita (known as 'Lick') while approximately $6.7 million worth of ETH was simultaneously moved into the wallet address 0xd8bc7ea538c2e9f178a18cc148892ae914a55d08. Verify offline (run on your own machine)
    python -m src.verify_decision 50bbb88b-e9d3-4d04-ad8a-4d1745a7e5f2
How verification works. The “Row integrity” check above is computed in your browser — your machine recomputes the SHA-256 of the canonical bytes and compares against the stored hash. No avoid.net server can fake that check. The “full verify” link goes one level deeper: your browser fetches the on-chain transaction from a Solana RPC node and confirms the same hash is in the memo. If you don’t want to trust either avoid.net or the public RPC, run the CLI verifier on your own machine — python -m src.verify_decision <event_id>.
