Audit log
Every state-changing event for Zora: moderation decisions on community submissions, plus corrections and updates from the news pipeline. URL-based decisions are designed to carry three independent witnesses — the original source, an Internet Archive snapshot, and a Solana memo signed by our publicly-disclosed publisher key. Archive coverage is still being backfilled, so each decision below reports its own snapshot status rather than assuming one exists.

Multiple searches for a Zora wind-down, sunset, deprecation or migration announcement found none. Search results for 'layer-2 shutdown' instead surfaced Zero Network, a different Ethereum L2 built by Zerion that announced in May 2026 it would wind down, which is easily confused with Zora by name. L2BEAT's Zora page carries no 'archived' or 'deprecated' label. This absence does not rule out a future announcement; official Zora channels should be checked directly.","heading":"Shutdown rumour and official announcements","severity":"medium","sources":[{"credibility":2,"name":"L2BEAT - Zora","type":"research","url":"https://l2beat.com/scaling/projects/zora"},{"credibility":2,"name":"The Block - Zero Network wind down (different project)","type":"news_article","url":"https://www.theblock.co/post/402296/zero-network-wind-down"}]},{"content":"L2BEAT reports Zora's total value secured at about $5.19M (down 11.4% over seven days), almost entirely canonically bridged ETH. L2BEAT states the fault-proof system is deployed but not functional (placeholder prestate), that the chain relies on permissioned actors, that code upgrades have no delay, and that there is no exit window. The page also notes the 2026-07-01 'Karst' upgrade kept permissioned fault proofs and recorded liveness gaps of about three hours on 2026-10-07. No reliable fee or revenue figures for the Zora chain were retrieved (DefiLlama returned HTTP 403), so claims of near-zero 24h revenue could not be verified or refuted.","heading":"Chain activity, TVL and technical risk","severity":"high","sources":[{"credibility":2,"name":"L2BEAT - Zora","type":"research","url":"https://l2beat.com/scaling/projects/zora"}]},{"content":"The ZORA token launched on Base in April 2025 with a 10 billion supply. A TechFlow article (October 2025) cited an FDV of about $850M and a Robinhood listing in October 2025. Bybit lists an all-time high of about $0.1456 in August 2025. Price-history aggregators show ZORA around $0.006 to $0.008 in July 2026, and a low-authority explainer reported about $0.0067 and a $30.1M market cap on 2026-07-14. Against the August 2025 high this implies a decline of roughly 95%, consistent with the rumour's range of FDV decline, though aggregator data conflict with one another and should be treated as approximate.","heading":"Token performance","severity":"high","sources":[{"credibility":2,"name":"TechFlow - Zora overview (Oct 2025)","type":"news_article","url":"https://techflowpost.com/en-US/article/28564"},{"credibility":3,"name":"Bybit - ZORA price","type":"other","url":"https://www.bybit.com/zh-MY/price/zora/"},{"credibility":3,"name":"Coinranking - Zora historical data","type":"other","url":"https://coinranking.com/coin/6FClA4V_R+zora-zora/historical-data"},{"credibility":3,"name":"OneBullEx - Is Zora a good investment","type":"other","url":"https://www.onebullex.com/explore/is-zora-good-investment-key-factors"}]},{"content":"Per TechFlow, Zora was founded in 2020, had early backing from Coinbase's venture arm, and raised about $60M over three rounds. The article does not name the team. In 2025 Zora pivoted from NFTs to creator coins on Base; trading fees were reported cut from 3% to 1% in October 2025. A circulating October 2026 social-media claim that Zora is a shutdown candidate is unverified: searches found no official wind-down or deprecation announcement, but L2BEAT shows a very small secured value (about $5.19M) and the ZORA token is reported far below its 2025 peak.","timeline":[{"date":"2020","event":"Zora founded; early backing reported from Coinbase's venture arm.","source":"TechFlow","source_url":"https://techflowpost.com/en-US/article/28564"},{"date":"2023-06","event":"Zora Network, an OP Stack Ethereum L2, launched.","source":"Search summary of L2BEAT/industry docs","source_url":"https://l2beat.com/scaling/projects/zora"},{"date":"2025-04","event":"ZORA token launched on Base with 10 billion supply.","source":"TechFlow","source_url":"https://techflowpost.com/en-US/article/28564"},{"date":"2025-07","event":"Major update enabled mass creator-coin issuance via Base.","source":"TechFlow","source_url":"https://techflowpost.com/en-US/article/28564"},{"date":"2025-08","event":"ZORA reported all-time high of about $0.1456.","source":"Bybit","source_url":"https://www.bybit.com/zh-MY/price/zora/"},{"date":"2025-10","event":"ZORA listed on Robinhood; trading fees reported cut to 1%.","source":"TechFlow","source_url":"https://techflowpost.com/en-US/article/28564"},{"date":"2026-07","event":"Zora L2 'Karst' upgrade (permissioned fault proofs retained); ZORA trading around $0.006-0.008.","source":"L2BEAT; Coinranking","source_url":"https://l2beat.com/scaling/projects/zora"}]},"v":1}Verify offline (run on your own machine)python -m src.verify_decision 4914a428-87fe-4c43-9365-0e5775b772cb - #2reviewby reviewerreviewer2026-10-08 20:18:11ZScore: 55 → 55 (no score change)The page is cautious and mostly accurate. TechFlow facts (founding, funding, token launch, FDV, Robinhood, fee cut) and the L2BEAT facts (launch date, fault proof status, no upgrade delay, Karst, liveness gaps) match the sources. The live TVS figures differ slightly from the snapshot, which is expected. The ATH price could not be verified because Bybit returned 503, and the July 2026 prices rest on tier-3 aggregators. The inference that Zora's L2 is deprioritised is the page's own reading of a Base-centred article. The core claim, that no shutdown announcement was found, is hedged appropriately. No findings required corrections.anchorfailed

The verdict moves to a minor revision because of the high-priority coverage gap on official Zora channels: the page's central point, that no shutdown announcement exists, rests on negative search results rather than a direct check of Zora's own blog, X account or governance forum. Three further claims are only partly supported (claim_findings[6] live figures differ from the page's TVS snapshot, [9] July 2026 prices rest on unretrieved low-tier aggregators, [11] the inference that Zora is moving focus away from its own L2 is the page's reading of a source about Base), so the figures should be dated and that inference softened or removed.anchorfailed

How verification works. The “Row integrity” check above is computed in your browser — your machine recomputes the SHA-256 of the canonical bytes and compares against the stored hash. No avoid.net server can fake that check. The “full verify” link goes one level deeper: your browser fetches the on-chain transaction from a Solana RPC node and confirms the same hash is in the memo. If you don’t want to trust either avoid.net or the public RPC, run the CLI verifier on your own machine —
python -m src.verify_decision <event_id>.
