Audit log

Every state-changing event for Tempo: moderation decisions on community submissions, plus corrections and updates from the news pipeline. URL-based decisions are designed to carry three independent witnesses — the original source, an Internet Archive snapshot, and a Solana memo signed by our publicly-disclosed publisher key. Archive coverage is still being backfilled, so each decision below reports its own snapshot status rather than assuming one exists.

It was announced in September 2025, launched a public testnet in December 2025, and per Tempo's FAQ 'Tempo Mainnet has been live since March 18, 2026' (chain ID 4217). Tempo's website states that Tempo is 'now Stripe's default blockchain for new features', a quote attributed to Stripe CEO Patrick Collison. Fees are paid in stablecoins through a built-in fee mechanism rather than a volatile native token, per secondary coverage.","heading":"Overview and launch history","severity":"low","sources":[{"credibility":2,"name":"Tempo FAQ","type":"official","url":"https://tempo.xyz/faq"},{"credibility":2,"name":"Tempo homepage","type":"official","url":"https://tempo.xyz"},{"credibility":2,"name":"Cointelegraph: Stripe blockchain Tempo launches public testnet","type":"news_article","url":"https://cointelegraph.com/news/stripe-blockchain-tempo-launches-public-testnet"},{"credibility":2,"name":"Bankless: Stripe deploys Tempo to mainnet","type":"news_article","url":"https://www.bankless.com/es/read/news/stripe-deploys-tempo-blockchain-to-mainnet-introduces-machine-payments-protocol.md"}]},{"content":"In October 2025 Tempo was reported to have raised a $500 million Series A at a roughly $5 billion valuation, led by Thrive Capital and Greenoaks with participation from Sequoia Capital, Ribbit Capital and SV Angel. Visa, Stripe and Zodia Custody were announced as the first external validators in April 2026; MoneyGram was named anchor remittance validator in May 2026. How verification works. The “Row integrity” check above is computed in your browser — your machine recomputes the SHA-256 of the canonical bytes and compares against the stored hash. No avoid.net server can fake that check. The “full verify” link goes one level deeper: your browser fetches the on-chain transaction from a Solana RPC node and confirms the same hash is in the memo. If you don’t want to trust either avoid.net or the public RPC, run the CLI verifier on your own machine — python -m src.verify_decision <event_id>.
