Audit log

Every state-changing event for Sunrise: moderation decisions on community submissions, plus corrections and updates from the news pipeline. URL-based decisions are designed to carry three independent witnesses — the original source, an Internet Archive snapshot, and a Solana memo signed by our publicly-disclosed publisher key. Archive coverage is still being backfilled, so each decision below reports its own snapshot status rather than assuming one exists.

Saeed Badreg is identified as co-founder and CEO of Sunrise in Solana Foundation's Breakpoint 2026 speaker materials and in Solana Foundation podcast appearances. Some older profiles (e.g., a Blockworks speaker page) describe Badreg in connection with Jump Crypto's strategic partnerships team, which appears to reflect an earlier role rather than his current position; multiple 2026 sources consistently identify him as Sunrise's CEO.","heading":"Identity and Ownership","severity":"low","sources":[{"credibility":1,"name":"Solana Foundation — Breakpoint 2026 London speakers","type":"official","url":"https://solana.com/news/breakpoint-2026-london-speakers-2"},{"credibility":1,"name":"Solana Foundation — Talking Tokens podcast with Saeed Badreg","type":"official","url":"https://solana.com/podcasts/talking-tokens/episodes/why-price-discovery-will-move-onchain-within-3-years-saeed-badreg-e3f5ikt"},{"credibility":2,"name":"Blockworks speaker profile for Saeed Badreg","type":"news_article","url":"https://blockworks.co/speaker/saeed-badreg"}]},{"content":"The Block reported that Wormhole Labs publicly unveiled Sunrise on November 23, 2025, describing it as a gateway designed to bring assets such as Monad's MON token to Solana with standardized, liquid markets from launch, using Wormhole's Native Token Transfers (NTT) infrastructure alongside integrations with the Orb explorer and the Jupiter decentralized exchange. CoinMarketCap Academy's coverage corroborates this account and notes that, at launch, the MON transfer represented the first major real-world test of the platform, meaning its performance had not yet been independently proven at that time. Since launch, reporting from CryptoBriefing and others describes Sunrise expanding to list additional cross-chain assets including Sui's SUI, Arbitrum's ARB, Injective's INJ, and Dogecoin-related assets on Solana.","heading":"Product and Launch","severity":"low","sources":[{"credibility":2,"name":"The Block — Wormhole Labs unveils 'Sunrise' gateway to bring MON and other assets to Solana","type":"news_article","url":"https://www.theblock.co/news/ecosystems/2025-11-23-wormhole-labs-unveils-sunrise-gateway-to-bring-mon-and-other-assets-to-solana-380048"},{"credibility":2,"name":"CoinMarketCap Academy — Sunrise Gateway Launches To Streamline Token Imports Into Solana","type":"news_article","url":"https://coinmarketcap.com/academy/article/sunrise-gateway-launches-to-streamline-token-imports-into-solana"},{"credibility":2,"name":"CryptoBriefing — Sunrise lists Arbitrum's ARB token on Solana via Wormhole NTT","type":"news_article","url":"https://cryptobriefing.com/sunrise-lists-arb-solana-wormhole-ntt/"}]},{"content":"Various crypto-media and aggregator sources report growing usage figures for Sunrise, but these figures are inconsistent across sources and largely unaudited. One podcast-derived figure cited roughly $566.7 million in cumulative swap volume across about 123,000 wallets, and a separate report claimed Sunrise-listed tokens exceeded $1 billion in weekly trading volume on Solana in September 2026. KuCoin's news desk separately cited a figure of roughly $813 million across more than 20 listed assets. These numbers come from promotional or secondary crypto-news sources rather than independently audited data, and should be treated as low-to-medium confidence claims pending verification from primary on-chain data or audited reporting.","heading":"Scale and Volume Claims","severity":"low","sources":[{"credibility":2,"name":"SolanaFloor — Sunrise brings Sui to Solana; network outperforms leading CEXs in trading volume","type":"news_article","url":"https://solanafloor.com/news/sunrise-brings-sui-solana-network-outperforms-leading-cexs-trading-volume"},{"credibility":3,"name":"KuCoin News — Sunrise Platform Launches on Solana to Bridge Traditional Finance and Blockchain","type":"news_article","url":"https://www.kucoin.com/news/flash/sunrise-platform-launches-on-solana-to-bridge-traditional-finance-and-blockchain"}]},{"content":"Sunrise is built on infrastructure from Wormhole Labs, whose core Wormhole cross-chain bridge protocol suffered a major exploit in February 2022, in which an attacker minted approximately 120,000 wrapped ETH (worth roughly $320 million at the time) by bypassing the protocol's signature-verification (guardian) checks on Solana. This was, at the time, among the largest DeFi exploits recorded. Wormhole's backers (via Jump Crypto) replenished the stolen funds, and Wormhole subsequently implemented new security measures, according to a 2023 TechCrunch report. This case predates the Solana-ecosystem Sunrise product by over a decade and involves a different entity with no apparent connection to Wormhole Labs, Saeed Badreg, or the Solana gateway discussed in this page. It launched in late November 2025 and is led by co-founder and CEO Saeed Badreg, who is scheduled to speak at Solana Breakpoint 2026. How verification works. The “Row integrity” check above is computed in your browser — your machine recomputes the SHA-256 of the canonical bytes and compares against the stored hash. No avoid.net server can fake that check. The “full verify” link goes one level deeper: your browser fetches the on-chain transaction from a Solana RPC node and confirms the same hash is in the memo. If you don’t want to trust either avoid.net or the public RPC, run the CLI verifier on your own machine — python -m src.verify_decision <event_id>.
