Audit log

Every state-changing event for Radiants DAO: moderation decisions on community submissions, plus corrections and updates from the news pipeline. URL-based decisions are designed to carry three independent witnesses — the original source, an Internet Archive snapshot, and a Solana memo signed by our publicly-disclosed publisher key. Archive coverage is still being backfilled, so each decision below reports its own snapshot status rather than assuming one exists.

According to its GitHub organization page, Radiants DAO is associated with the United Arab Emirates and uses the tagline \"Sunset to dawn, fragment to whole.\" The project reportedly originated as an entrant in the Solana Grizzlython hackathon before evolving into an ongoing community organization. Its GitHub organization lists a modest set of repositories covering tooling such as a command-line Solana 'ore' autominer, developer utilities, and validator-coalition software, consistent with a small, active open-source developer community rather than a large, well-resourced organization.","heading":"Background and Purpose","severity":"low","sources":[{"credibility":2,"name":"Radiants DAO GitHub organization","type":"other","url":"https://github.com/Radiants-DAO"},{"credibility":3,"name":"Radiants DAO: Solana's Community-Owned Builder Collective (Soladex project directory)","type":"other","url":"https://www.soladex.io/project/radiants"}]},{"content":"Rather than issuing a conventional fungible governance token, Radiants DAO reportedly uses governance NFTs obtained either by purchase or by earning them through a 'Merit Award' program for contributing code, design, writing, or event organization. The project is described as using a 'burn-to-bid' mechanic in weekly NFT auctions, in which participants burn existing NFTs to acquire new, limited-edition governance NFTs that confer voting rights on protocol upgrades, tool development, and bounty approvals. This NFT-based governance structure has not been independently audited or reviewed in any source identified during this investigation, and claims about its mechanics rely on the project's own community/directory descriptions rather than independent technical analysis.","heading":"Governance Model and NFTs","severity":"low","sources":[{"credibility":3,"name":"Radiants DAO: Solana's Community-Owned Builder Collective (Soladex project directory)","type":"other","url":"https://www.soladex.io/project/radiants"}]},{"content":"Radiants DAO has organized or co-organized several Solana ecosystem hackathons. It reportedly won the Public Goods Award, with a $20,000 USDC prize, at the 2023 Solana Hyperdrive hackathon; the official Solana announcement describes the award going to 'Radiants, a protocol for ecosystem-wide NFT deflation and merging of projects utilizing a suite of tools.' Radiants DAO also organized 'Bonkathon,' described in its own social media posts as one of the largest Solana-based hackathons with $350,000 in prizes. More recently, Radiants DAO partnered with Solana Mobile to co-host the 'Monolith Hackathon,' reported by a crypto-industry blog to have drawn over 400 submissions from 66 countries and distributed $135,000 in prizes, including Solana Seeker devices, to 16 winning teams. These activities indicate an operating, ecosystem-embedded organization, though independent, high-credibility verification of prize payouts and participant counts was not found.","heading":"Hackathons and Ecosystem Partnerships","severity":"low","sources":[{"credibility":2,"name":"Meet the winners of the Hyperdrive Hackathon (Solana.com)","type":"official","url":"https://solana.com/news/solana-hyperdrive-hackathon-winners"},{"credibility":3,"name":"Radiants (@RadiantsDAO) Bonkathon submissions post","type":"social_media","url":"https://x.com/RadiantsDAO/status/1800585045113184457"},{"credibility":3,"name":"Solana Mobile and RadiantsDAO just showed what crypto-native apps can do on a phone","type":"news_article","url":"https://startupfortune.com/solana-mobile-and-radiantsdao-just-showed-what-crypto-native-apps-can-do-on-a-phone/"}]},{"content":"No court filings, regulatory actions, law-enforcement reports, or major-outlet news coverage alleging fraud, a rug pull, or an exit scam involving Radiants DAO were identified in available sources at the time of this investigation. Searches for \"Radiants DAO\" combined with terms such as \"scam,\" \"rug pull,\" and \"fraud\" returned only generic explainer articles about rug pulls in general and unrelated entities (including an identically-worded but unrelated U.S. credit union, Radiant Credit Union). This absence of adverse findings should not be read as a clean bill of health: Radiants DAO has a small public footprint (its GitHub organization had only a handful of followers at the time of review), limited independent financial or on-chain audit coverage, and no Tier 1 (regulatory or major-outlet) sourcing exists either confirming or ruling out past disputes. Readers should treat the lack of negative findings as reflecting limited available information rather than a confirmed clean record.","heading":"Scam, Fraud, and Regulatory History","severity":"low","sources":[{"credibility":2,"name":"Radiants DAO GitHub organization","type":"other","url":"https://github.com/Radiants-DAO"}]},{"content":"Radiants DAO should not be confused with Radiant Capital, a separate and unrelated cross-chain DeFi lending protocol (token ticker RDNT) that suffered a $50 million exploit in October 2024, attributed by investigators to a North Korean threat actor, and subsequently announced it was winding down its DAO operations roughly eighteen months later. The similarity of the two names ('Radiants DAO' vs. the 'Radiant Capital' DAO) has led some web search results to conflate the two; this investigation covers only the Solana-based builder collective known as Radiants DAO (@RadiantsDAO on X, github.com/Radiants-DAO), not Radiant Capital.","heading":"Disambiguation from Radiant Capital (RDNT)","severity":"low","sources":[{"credibility":2,"name":"Radiant Capital Ends DAO Operations 18 Months After $50 Million Exploit","type":"news_article","url":"https://beincrypto.com/radiant-capital-winding-down-50-million-hack/"},{"credibility":2,"name":"Radiant Capital's $50M Breach Among 'Most Sophisticated Hacks' in DeFi History","type":"news_article","url":"https://decrypt.co/287162/radiant-capitals-50m-breach-among-most-sophisticated-hacks-in-defi-history"}]}],"sources_used":[{"credibility":2,"name":"Radiants DAO GitHub organization","type":"other","url":"https://github.com/Radiants-DAO"},{"credibility":3,"name":"Radiants DAO: Solana's Community-Owned Builder Collective (Soladex project directory)","type":"other","url":"https://www.soladex.io/project/radiants"},{"credibility":2,"name":"Meet the winners of the Hyperdrive Hackathon (Solana.com)","type":"official","url":"https://solana.com/news/solana-hyperdrive-hackathon-winners"},{"credibility":3,"name":"Radiants (@RadiantsDAO) Bonkathon submissions post","type":"social_media","url":"https://x.com/RadiantsDAO/status/1800585045113184457"},{"credibility":3,"name":"Solana Mobile and RadiantsDAO just showed what crypto-native apps can do on a phone","type":"news_article","url":"https://startupfortune.com/solana-mobile-and-radiantsdao-just-showed-what-crypto-native-apps-can-do-on-a-phone/"},{"credibility":2,"name":"Radiant Capital Ends DAO Operations 18 Months After $50 Million Exploit","type":"news_article","url":"https://beincrypto.com/radiant-capital-winding-down-50-million-hack/"},{"credibility":2,"name":"Radiant Capital's $50M Breach Among 'Most Sophisticated Hacks' in DeFi History","type":"news_article","url":"https://decrypt.co/287162/radiant-capitals-50m-breach-among-most-sophisticated-hacks-in-defi-history"}],"summary":"Radiants DAO is a community-run builder collective and hackathon organizer within the Solana ecosystem, known for a burn-to-bid NFT governance mechanic and for co-hosting events such as Bonkathon and the Solana Mobile Monolith Hackathon. How verification works. The “Row integrity” check above is computed in your browser — your machine recomputes the SHA-256 of the canonical bytes and compares against the stored hash. No avoid.net server can fake that check. The “full verify” link goes one level deeper: your browser fetches the on-chain transaction from a Solana RPC node and confirms the same hash is in the memo. If you don’t want to trust either avoid.net or the public RPC, run the CLI verifier on your own machine — python -m src.verify_decision <event_id>.
