Every state-changing event for Pump.fun MEV Whistleblower — 5,000 Internal Chat Leak (2026): moderation decisions on community submissions, plus corrections and updates from the news pipeline. URL-based decisions are designed to carry three independent witnesses — the original source, an Internet Archive snapshot, and a Solana memo signed by our publicly-disclosed publisher key. Archive coverage is still being backfilled, so each decision below reports its own snapshot status rather than assuming one exists.

The platform allows users to launch speculative tokens via automated bonding curves, without KYC, AML, or regulatory oversight. By the time of the underlying litigation the platform had reportedly generated over $927 million in lifetime protocol revenue. Critics — including Curve Finance founder Michael Egorov — characterized the platform as a 'casino of scams,' while defenders argued it democratized token creation. The first batch, delivered in approximately September 2025, comprised roughly 5,000 messages. A second batch arrived around October 21, 2025, containing over 10,000 additional logs and related files. Together the materials total approximately 15,000 records. The whistleblower's identity has not been publicly disclosed, and media outlets including Bitget's annual review noted the source remained anonymous — described variously as possibly a former employee, a competitor, or an undisclosed regulator. Separately, convicted former developer Jarett Dunn publicly released a distinct set of internal Pump.fun Telegram conversations on approximately March 3–4, 2026, citing personal safety concerns. According to the Phemex article covering Dunn's disclosure, those logs did not surface significant ethical misconduct by leadership and largely exposed phone numbers of key personnel; Dunn's court-rejected whistleblower defense is not understood to be connected to the confidential informant referenced in the SDNY litigation.","heading":"The Whistleblower and the Chat Logs","severity":"high","sources":[{"credibility":2,"name":"Judge Approves Expansion of Solana Pump.fun Lawsuit After 5,000 Internal Chats Surface — Yellow.com","type":"news_article","url":"https://yellow.com/news/judge-approves-expansion-of-solana-pumpfun-lawsuit-after-5000-internal-chats-surface"},{"credibility":2,"name":"Annual Review of the Pump.fun Lawsuit: Piecing Together the Truth Behind 15,000 Chat Records — Bitget","type":"news_article","url":"https://www.bitget.com/news/detail/12560605120230"},{"credibility":2,"name":"Pump.fun Hacker Jarett Dunn Claims Whistleblower Status — Phemex","type":"news_article","url":"https://phemex.com/news/article/pumpfun-hacker-jarett-dunn-releases-internal-chats-claims-whistleblower-status-64740"},{"credibility":2,"name":"Whistleblower Drops 5,000+ Secret Chats in Pump.fun MEV Scandal — Yahoo Finance","type":"news_article","url":"https://finance.yahoo.com/news/whistleblower-drops-5-000-secret-210125260.html"}]},{"content":"Plaintiffs allege that Pump.fun, Solana Labs, and Jito Labs coordinated a scheme referred to as the 'Pump Enterprise.' According to the Second Amended Consolidated Complaint filed January 7, 2026 (Aguilar v. Baton Corporation Ltd., 1:25-cv-00880-CM, S.D.N.Y.), insiders allegedly used Jito Labs' block-engine and transaction-bundling tools — standard MEV infrastructure on Solana — to acquire newly launched tokens before the general public, at the lowest available prices on the bonding curve. Retail traders allegedly then purchased tokens at artificially inflated prices while insiders exited profitably. The complaint alleges these practices caused aggregate retail losses of between $4 billion and $5.5 billion across approximately 4.25 million wallets, with over 60 percent of wallets showing net losses during 2024. Plaintiffs further allege Pump.fun marketed its launches as 'fair' and 'unruggable' while the alleged preferential access was operating. These are allegations only; no court has adjudicated the merits of the MEV front-running claims. Defendants have denied the characterization of standard MEV mechanics as deceptive; Delphi Ventures founding partner Tommy Shaughnessy, quoted by Unchained Crypto, described the suit as 'twisting standard MEV mechanics and neutral infrastructure to appear as a secret inside lane.'","heading":"Allegations: MEV Front-Running and the 'Pump Enterprise'","severity":"critical","sources":[{"credibility":1,"name":"Pump.fun and Solana RICO Lawsuit: Aguilar v. The judge found that defendants had failed to demonstrate undue prejudice, noting that discovery had not yet commenced, and characterized the amendments as neither transformative nor prejudicial. The Second Amended Consolidated Complaint was filed January 7, 2026, naming as defendants Baton Corporation Ltd. and co-founders Alon Cohen, Dylan Kerler, and Noah Tweedale; Solana Labs and the Solana Foundation and their executives Anatoly Yakovenko, Raj Gokal, Dan Albert, Austin Federa, and Lily Liu; the Jito Foundation; and 25 unnamed key opinion leader (KOL) defendants. Securities Act claims were dismissed with prejudice on the ground that a memecoin bonding curve does not constitute a 'common enterprise' and that the two tokens at issue — FRED and GRIFFAIN — did not satisfy the Howey test for an investment contract. Gambling-law predicates were also rejected, with the court holding that purchasing a speculative asset does not constitute wagering under New York law. All claims against Solana Labs, the Solana Foundation, and their named executives were dismissed. However, RICO racketeering allegations against Baton Corporation and its three founders — Alon Cohen, Dylan Kerler, and Noah Tweedale — survived, with wire-fraud predicates grounded in Cohen's public statements characterizing the platform as an 'unruggable fair launch.' Claims of unlicensed money transmission also survived. Separately, the court ordered Burwick Law to show cause by September 10, 2026 why it had not served the 25 unnamed KOL defendants. As of the date of this investigation, the RICO and money-transmission claims are pending further proceedings.","heading":"August 2026 Ruling: Partial Dismissal and Surviving RICO Claims","severity":"high","sources":[{"credibility":2,"name":"Judge Dismisses Pump.fun Securities Claims and Clears Solana Labs and Foundation. First, the whistleblower's identity and motivations remain undisclosed; the anonymity of the source makes independent verification of the chat logs' authenticity impossible from public sources alone. Second, although a federal court permitted the chats to be used as evidence in an amended pleading, that procedural ruling is not a finding that the chats are authentic, accurately characterized, or sufficient to prove the underlying claims — those questions are for the merits stage. Third, a distinct set of chats released publicly by Jarett Dunn in March 2026 was separately described by one source as not revealing 'significant ethical breaches'; it is unclear whether those public logs overlap with the confidential informant's materials. Fourth, the August 2026 partial dismissal eliminated securities claims and cleared Solana Labs entirely, significantly narrowing the scope of surviving allegations. Readers should treat all unresolved claims as allegations pending adjudication.","heading":"Limitations and Evidentiary Caveats","severity":"medium","sources":[{"credibility":3,"name":"Pump.fun Chat Leaks: Jarett Dunn Releases Telegram Chats — OurCryptoTalk","type":"news_article","url":"https://web.ourcryptotalk.com/news/slug-pump-fun-chat-leaks-jarett-dunn"},{"credibility":2,"name":"He Stole $2 Million from Pump.fun, Yet Calls Himself a Whistleblower — Odaily","type":"news_article","url":"https://www.odaily.news/en/post/5209614"}]}],"sources_used":[{"credibility":2,"name":"Whistleblower Drops 5,000+ Secret Chats in Pump.fun MEV Scandal — Yahoo Finance","type":"news_article","url":"https://finance.yahoo.com/news/whistleblower-drops-5-000-secret-210125260.html"},{"credibility":2,"name":"MEV Lawsuit Against Pump.fun, Solana Heats Up — Unchained Crypto","type":"news_article","url":"https://unchainedcrypto.com/mev-lawsuit-against-pump-fun-solana-heats-up/"},{"credibility":2,"name":"Judge Lets Pump.fun Class Action Add Over 5,000 Chat Logs on MEV — BingX News","type":"news_article","url":"https://bingx.com/en/news/post/judge-lets-pump-fun-class-action-add-over-chat-logs-on-mev"},{"credibility":1,"name":"Judge Grants Plaintiffs' Motion to Include New Evidence in Pump.fun Lawsuit — CoinTelegraph","type":"news_article","url":"https://cointelegraph.com/news/mev-trading-returns-court-pump-fun-class-action-lawsuit"},{"credibility":2,"name":"Annual Review of the Pump.fun Lawsuit: Piecing Together the Truth Behind 15,000 Chat Records — Bitget","type":"news_article","url":"https://www.bitget.com/news/detail/12560605120230"},{"credibility":2,"name":"Pump.fun Lawsuit Enters New Phase with 15,000 Chat Records — KuCoin","type":"news_article","url":"https://www.kucoin.com/news/flash/pump-fun-lawsuit-enters-new-phase-with-15-000-chat-records"},{"credibility":2,"name":"Judge Approves Expansion of Solana Pump.fun Lawsuit After 5,000 Internal Chats Surface — Yellow.com","type":"news_article","url":"https://yellow.com/news/judge-approves-expansion-of-solana-pumpfun-lawsuit-after-5000-internal-chats-surface"},{"credibility":1,"name":"Pump.fun and Solana RICO Lawsuit: Aguilar v. How verification works. The “Row integrity” check above is computed in your browser — your machine recomputes the SHA-256 of the canonical bytes and compares against the stored hash. No avoid.net server can fake that check. The “full verify” link goes one level deeper: your browser fetches the on-chain transaction from a Solana RPC node and confirms the same hash is in the memo. If you don’t want to trust either avoid.net or the public RPC, run the CLI verifier on your own machine — python -m src.verify_decision <event_id>.
