Audit log

Every state-changing event for GraceToken: moderation decisions on community submissions, plus corrections and updates from the news pipeline. URL-based decisions carry three independent witnesses — the original source, an Internet Archive snapshot taken at submission time, and a Solana memo signed by our publicly-disclosed publisher key.

The first (GRCE) was launched in mid-2017 on the Ethereum blockchain and described itself as a donation-incentive platform for nonprofit charities. It conducted an ICO between approximately August and December 2017 with a fixed token supply of 120,000,000 GRCE. The Ethereum contract address is 0x66a795D2d285C542DF00EbcaA7C42Fa8897c2C55. The second, unrelated project (GRC) is a BEP-20 token deployed on the BNB Smart Chain on approximately January 25, 2022, with a total supply of 100,000,000 GRC at contract address 0x2d0cdf3fc29446719f669ccd49918b14d3cd56e7. This BSC token marketed itself as a community-driven meme coin with DeFi utilities. The ICO ran from approximately August to December 2017 with a supply cap of 120,000,000 GRCE tokens and a 20% pre-sale bonus. The project's official website was gracetoken.org and it maintained a Medium blog (@GraceOrg) and a GitHub organization (github.com/GraceToken) with three repositories (crowdsale, web, donations). On January 7, 2018, the team posted a Medium article titled 'Grace is Shutting Down,' citing resource exhaustion, costly regulatory compliance requirements across jurisdictions (charitable solicitation licenses, money transmitter licenses), failure to build a sustainable operating model, and insufficient public interest in nonprofit blockchain projects. No refund mechanism was described in the shutdown notice. As of data available in mid-2026, only 14 holders are recorded on Etherscan with no meaningful trading activity. No team member names were ever publicly disclosed in any source reviewed.","heading":"GRCE (Ethereum, 2017): ICO and Shutdown","severity":"high","sources":[{"credibility":3,"name":"Grace is Shutting Down — Medium (@GraceOrg)","type":"other","url":"https://medium.com/@GraceOrg/grace-is-shutting-down-7eb76cfc3e66"},{"credibility":3,"name":"Grace Token Empowers the Nonprofit Sector With Individual Incentives — The Merkle News (sponsored post, Sept 3 2017)","type":"news_article","url":"https://themerkle.com/grace-token-empowering-the-nonprofit-sector-with-individual-incentives/"},{"credibility":2,"name":"Grace Token (GRCE) Token Tracker — Etherscan","type":"on_chain","url":"https://etherscan.io/token/0x66a795d2d285c542df00ebcaa7c42fa8897c2c55"},{"credibility":2,"name":"GraceToken GitHub Organization (Grace Org)","type":"official","url":"https://github.com/GraceToken"},{"credibility":2,"name":"Grace — ICO is open now — TokenMarket","type":"other","url":"https://tokenmarket.net/blockchain/ethereum/assets/grace/"}]},{"content":"The BNB Smart Chain GRC token was deployed on approximately January 25, 2022 by an address labeled 'Gracecoin: Deployer' (0xef457373551a213af58881ced696ccb5ab89065e) on BscScan. The project described itself as 'fully decentralized and owned by its fun, vibrant community' with plans for a decentralized marketplace, daily staking rewards, NFTs, and metaverse development, and alleged a completed third-party security audit. No audit report or auditing firm name has been independently verified. The token reached an all-time high of approximately $0.866 on or around April 25, 2022 per CoinPaprika, before declining to a price of $0.00 with no active markets or liquidity. As of available data, only 100 holders are recorded, with the top 10 addresses controlling approximately 89% of total supply — a high concentration that is considered a risk indicator. The BscScan contract page notes that no security audit was submitted on-chain and that the contract was compiled with Solidity v0.5.16, a version with 13 known compiler bugs. BscScan records approximately 5,998 total transactions, with the last recorded transaction as of March 3, 2026. However, no Tier 1 source (court filing, SEC/CFTC/DOJ action, major news outlet) and no Tier 2 source (CoinDesk, The Block, Decrypt, established on-chain analytics) has published specific documented evidence that either the GRCE or GRC project executed a deliberate rug pull — meaning an intentional act of draining liquidity or minting tokens to defraud investors. The GRCE project publicly announced its shutdown with stated operational reasons and made its code repositories available. The GRC BSC token exhibits characteristics associated with low-quality or failed BSC tokens (high holder concentration, compiler vulnerabilities, price collapse to zero, no on-chain audit), but no forensic report attributing the price collapse to deliberate developer misconduct has been identified. The rug pull characterization, if intended to describe either project, should be treated as low-confidence and unverified pending stronger sourcing.","heading":"Scam and Rug Pull Allegations: Evidence Assessment","severity":"medium","sources":[{"credibility":2,"name":"GRACE TOKEN (GRC) Price — CoinPaprika","type":"other","url":"https://coinpaprika.com/coin/grc-grace-token/"},{"credibility":2,"name":"Gracecoin: GRC Token Address — BscScan","type":"on_chain","url":"https://bscscan.com/address/0x2d0cdf3fc29446719f669ccd49918b14d3cd56e7"}]},{"content":"Both tokens are effectively inactive. The GRCE token (Ethereum) has 14 holders and no active trading markets as of available data. The GRC token (BNB Smart Chain) shows $0 price and $0 liquidity; PancakeSwap v2 is listed as an exchange venue but shows no active trading. The last transaction recorded on the BscScan page for GRC was March 3, 2026, suggesting minimal residual activity. How verification works. The “Row integrity” check above is computed in your browser — your machine recomputes the SHA-256 of the canonical bytes and compares against the stored hash. No avoid.net server can fake that check. The “full verify” link goes one level deeper: your browser fetches the on-chain transaction from a Solana RPC node and confirms the same hash is in the memo. If you don’t want to trust either avoid.net or the public RPC, run the CLI verifier on your own machine — python -m src.verify_decision <event_id>.
