Verify a decision

Every moderation decision on AVOID.NET is anchored to the Solana blockchain. You don't have to trust us — you can verify cryptographically that we committed to a verdict at a specific moment and have not rewritten it.

How verification works

  1. We commit. When a moderator accepts/rejects a submission, we serialize the decision into deterministic UTF-8 bytes (payload_canonical_string), hash it with SHA-256, encode the digest as base58, and write it to Solana inside an SPL Memo v2 transaction.
  2. We store the bytes. The exact bytes we hashed are stored alongside the decision in our database. Anyone can read them and recompute the hash in any language.
  3. You compare three values. Database hash, your independently-recomputed hash, and the hash inside the on-chain memo. If all three match, the decision is authentic and timestamped.
The on-chain memo format is AVOID.NET|v1|h:<b58-sha256>|d:<id>|t:<iso>

Find a signature on any investigation page's decision log, or run python -m src.verify_decision --signature <sig> for a CLI check.

A query to the DexScreener public API for this mint returned no trading pairs, indicating the token either has no active liquidity pool, was never listed on a tracked decentralized exchange, or had its pool removed. Attempts to retrieve data from Solscan and RugCheck did not return accessible information for this address. Web searches for the exact mint string returned no relevant results, only unrelated content. This absence of any discoverable footprint is itself notable: legitimate tokens with real trading activity and community engagement typically leave verifiable on-chain and web traces, such as an indexed DexScreener pair, a RugCheck risk report, or social media activity referencing the mint address.","heading":"Identity and Verifiability","severity":"medium","sources":[{"credibility":2,"name":"DexScreener API query for mint EVcLppxi4vF3ah3Gc5qppFtmnoSNtAkDRWqJUqvmNJcN (returned null pairs)","type":"on_chain","url":"https://api.dexscreener.com/latest/dex/tokens/EVcLppxi4vF3ah3Gc5qppFtmnoSNtAkDRWqJUqvmNJcN"}]},{"content":"The ticker 'PANIC' and close variants (e.g., 'Kernel Panic', 'Panic Cat', 'PANICAN', 'PANIC&FEAR') are used by numerous unrelated tokens across Solana, Base, and BSC, most of which are low-liquidity memecoins launched through platforms such as pump.fun. None of the PANIC-branded tokens found in web search results share the mint address EVcLppxi4vF3ah3Gc5qppFtmnoSNtAkDRWqJUqvmNJcN, and no verified link between this specific mint and any of those projects was found. This is consistent with a broader pattern on Solana, where ticker symbols are not unique and are frequently reused by unrelated, often short-lived token launches, which complicates identification and increases the risk that users searching for 'PANIC' by name alone may confuse this token with a different, unrelated one — or vice versa.","heading":"Naming Collision with Other PANIC Tokens","severity":"low","sources":[{"credibility":2,"name":"Web search results showing multiple unrelated PANIC-ticker tokens on Solana, Base, and BSC","type":"on_chain","url":"https://dexscreener.com/solana/5YZdqnRGjdNi8bfM7a8m9VJsK99eVKjVs4PY91THd1mZ"}]},{"content":"AVOID.NET's own wallet scan reported holder exposure of approximately $0.00 for this mint, indicating that wallets scanned either hold a negligible quantity of the token or that the token currently has no determinable market value. Combined with the absence of an indexed trading pair on DexScreener, this suggests the token has little to no active, liquid market at the time of writing. A token with no discoverable liquidity pool and no market price is commonly associated with abandoned launches, failed memecoins, or tokens where liquidity was removed after creation (colloquially a 'rug pull' on Solana token launch platforms), but no direct evidence was found to confirm that this specific mint underwent such an event, as opposed to simply never gaining any trading volume.","heading":"Market Activity and Holder Exposure","severity":"medium","sources":[{"credibility":2,"name":"AVOID.NET wallet scan (internal finding, holder exposure ≈ $0.00)","type":"on_chain","url":"https://api.dexscreener.com/latest/dex/tokens/EVcLppxi4vF3ah3Gc5qppFtmnoSNtAkDRWqJUqvmNJcN"}]},{"content":"Independent research cited in industry reporting has found that a very large share of tokens launched on permissionless Solana platforms such as pump.fun are associated with pump-and-dump patterns or rug pulls, and that rug pulls on Solana can occur within minutes of launch due to low fees and fast settlement.
