Verify a decision
Every moderation decision on AVOID.NET is anchored to the Solana blockchain. You don't have to trust us — you can verify cryptographically that we committed to a verdict at a specific moment and have not rewritten it.
How verification works
- We commit. When a moderator accepts/rejects a submission, we serialize the decision into deterministic UTF-8 bytes (
payload_canonical_string), hash it with SHA-256, encode the digest as base58, and write it to Solana inside an SPL Memo v2 transaction. - We store the bytes. The exact bytes we hashed are stored alongside the decision in our database. Anyone can read them and recompute the hash in any language.
- You compare three values. Database hash, your independently-recomputed hash, and the hash inside the on-chain memo. If all three match, the decision is authentic and timestamped.
The on-chain memo format is
AVOID.NET|v1|h:<b58-sha256>|d:<id>|t:<iso>Find a signature on any investigation page's decision log, or run python -m src.verify_decision --signature <sig> for a CLI check.

A second product, CodexForge Hashrate Staking, invited users to deposit USDT in multiples of USD 100 in exchange for staking returns. According to Specter, wallets linked to the project bridged 17.3 million USDT from the TRON network to Ethereum, then swapped the funds for DAI on the Polygon network via Bitget Swap. At the time of the alert, Specter stated that approximately USD 6.5 million had been fully transferred and USD 10.8 million remained in transit. Specter additionally alleged that TRON-based wallets moved approximately USD 3.4 million to centralized exchanges across two wallets. The total user-funds-at-risk figure cited by Specter and repeated in subsequent media coverage is approximately USD 85 million; however, this figure has not been independently verified through a complete transaction-by-transaction published trace. The partial flows involving the 17.3 million USDT transfer are the only figures with specific on-chain corroboration in available reporting. Specter identified a deposit contract at address 0x9E6A75b546B65E7B9D34E2c9aB8Fe224B9aA52AA and alleged that multiple official CodexField domains directed user deposits to this single contract. Blockchain intelligence platform MetaSleuth labeled this contract as 'Fake CodexField,' although Specter contended he had verified its use through the project's official channels and deposit tutorial videos. The CodexForge Hashrate Staking product's structure — requiring USDT deposits in multiples of USD 100 with promised returns — has been noted by analysts as resembling high-yield deposit schemes historically associated with exit scams. Neither CodexField nor BNB Chain has confirmed or denied these allegations as of the time of available reporting.","heading":"Alleged Fund Misappropriation and Rug Pull Pattern","severity":"critical","sources":[{"credibility":2,"name":"On-Chain Investigator Flags BNB Chain's CodexField as a Potential $85M Rug Pull — CryptoTimes","type":"news_article","url":"https://www.cryptotimes.io/2026/07/10/on-chain-investigator-flags-bnb-chains-codexfield-as-a-potential-85m-rug-pull/"},{"credibility":2,"name":"Analyst Flags CodexField Over Suspected $85M Rug Pull — Cryptopolitan","type":"news_article","url":"https://www.cryptopolitan.com/analyst-flags-codexfield-85m-rug-pull/"},{"credibility":2,"name":"CodexField Hit With $85M Fraud Claims After BNB Backing — FinanceFeeds","type":"news_article","url":"https://financefeeds.com/codexfield-hit-with-85m-fraud-claims-after-bnb-backing/"},{"credibility":3,"name":"BNB Chain Project CodexField Faces Rug Pull Claims After Abnormal Fund Transfers — Cryip","type":"news_article","url":"https://cryip.co/bnb-chain-codexfield-rug-pull-claims-abnormal-fund-transfers/"}]},{"content":"Following publication of Specter's investigation on July 9–10, 2026, Specter reported in a follow-up post that the project's X (Twitter) account was renamed from @CodexField to @CodexField_AI, and that multiple subdomains previously used to collect user deposits were taken offline. Specter stated that the timing of these changes — occurring within hours of the investigation becoming public — 'raises serious questions and further strengthens my concerns that the project may be a scam and potential rug pull.' The renaming of the X account and takedown of deposit-collecting subdomains are consistent with patterns documented in prior confirmed rug pulls, though they do not on their own constitute proof of fraudulent intent. As of the most recent available reporting (July 10, 2026), neither BNB Chain, Binance, nor any named BNB Chain executive had issued a public statement confirming, denying, or investigating the allegations made by Specter. The USD 85 million total figure has not been supported by a publicly available, transaction-by-transaction trace; only the 17.3 million USDT cross-chain movement has specific on-chain sourcing in available reporting. The MetaSleuth label of 'Fake CodexField' on the deposit contract introduces ambiguity: if the contract were actually a third-party phishing replica rather than a project-controlled address, the interpretive framing of the allegations would shift materially. Specter asserted he verified the contract's use through official project channels, but no independent confirmation of this verification has been published. No court filing, regulatory action, law enforcement statement, or formal security-firm report had been issued as of available reporting. The project continued operating in some capacity as of August 2026, announcing a token unlock for September 28, 2026, without addressing the July fraud allegations in that announcement.
