Verify a decision
Every moderation decision on AVOID.NET is anchored to the Solana blockchain. You don't have to trust us — you can verify cryptographically that we committed to a verdict at a specific moment and have not rewritten it.
How verification works
- We commit. When a moderator accepts/rejects a submission, we serialize the decision into deterministic UTF-8 bytes (
payload_canonical_string), hash it with SHA-256, encode the digest as base58, and write it to Solana inside an SPL Memo v2 transaction. - We store the bytes. The exact bytes we hashed are stored alongside the decision in our database. Anyone can read them and recompute the hash in any language.
- You compare three values. Database hash, your independently-recomputed hash, and the hash inside the on-chain memo. If all three match, the decision is authentic and timestamped.
The on-chain memo format is
AVOID.NET|v1|h:<b58-sha256>|d:<id>|t:<iso>Find a signature on any investigation page's decision log, or run python -m src.verify_decision --signature <sig> for a CLI check.

However, several of the disputed and stale findings carry more weight than a simple percentage suggests. claim_findings[14] and claim_findings[24] are not ambiguous readings — they are dated errors that contradict the page's own cited sources: the $13.8M raise is placed in August 2023 when the page's own Finbold citation and two independent outlets date it to February 2023, and the public-sale token unlock is placed in July 2023 when the page's own DropsTab citation shows the public sale fully vested at the July 2021 launch and conflates it with a separate advisor unlock. More significantly, claim_findings[3], [23], and [32] (all rated 'stale') show that the page's 'Current Strategy and Pivot' section presents YGG Play, the Launchpad, and LOL Land as the organization's ongoing strategy, when independent Tier 1 reporting shows YGG shut this entire business down around August 1, 2026 with roughly 35 layoffs and pivoted to an AI data-economy model. Presenting a defunct flagship initiative as current strategy is a material gap on the entity's present-day status, reinforced by a high-priority coverage gap flagging the same issue. A second high-priority coverage gap and claim_findings[37] separately note that the page's slug and entity_name ('yg') do not match its subject (Yield Guild Games / YGG) and that this appears to duplicate an existing page for the same entity — a data-integrity problem independent of the page's factual content, which does not itself affect this page's substantive accuracy but should be resolved administratively. Reviewer confidence (0.72) is moderate-to-solid, supporting a firm rather than hedged verdict within the band. Weighing the source-contradicted date errors and the staleness on the entity's central current-state narrative against an otherwise well-supported factual core (founding history, funding rounds, price history, scam warnings, regulatory status), the page merits revision at the upper end of the minor-issues penalty range rather than escalation to a significant-issues or failing verdict.","score_delta":-15,"sequence_num":5,"submission_content_hash":null,"submission_id":null,"submission_kind":null,"submission_valence":null,"v":1}
