Verify a decision

Every moderation decision on AVOID.NET is anchored to the Solana blockchain. You don't have to trust us — you can verify cryptographically that we committed to a verdict at a specific moment and have not rewritten it.

How verification works

  1. We commit. When a moderator accepts/rejects a submission, we serialize the decision into deterministic UTF-8 bytes (payload_canonical_string), hash it with SHA-256, encode the digest as base58, and write it to Solana inside an SPL Memo v2 transaction.
  2. We store the bytes. The exact bytes we hashed are stored alongside the decision in our database. Anyone can read them and recompute the hash in any language.
  3. You compare three values. Database hash, your independently-recomputed hash, and the hash inside the on-chain memo. If all three match, the decision is authentic and timestamped.
The on-chain memo format is AVOID.NET|v1|h:<b58-sha256>|d:<id>|t:<iso>

Find a signature on any investigation page's decision log, or run python -m src.verify_decision --signature <sig> for a CLI check.

Several specific figures are confirmed well (max supply, ATH price, CertiK grade, ETP listing, CoinDesk recognition, BME mechanism, Prime Intellect/NVIDIA-Brev partnerships). However, a cluster of precise dates and numbers could not be fully verified: the TGE/IEO date for October 2020 conflicts with Akash's own blog post (Oct 15/16, not Oct 21); the section text misdates the NVIDIA-Brev acquisition to April 2024 when the page's own timeline (and external reporting) places it in July 2024; the 'third co-founder' characterization of Boz Menzalji is not supported by any source found, which consistently describe him as COO rather than a founder; the GitHub repository count (49) is well behind the current live count (74); and the stated 4-8%/50-50 inflation parameters appear to have been superseded by a 2026 governance proposal lowering the ceiling to 4% and raising the community tax to 70%. A handful of quantitative claims sourced to paywalled Messari reports (daily active lease decline, Q3 2025 provider decline, Q4 2024 lease growth) could not be checked at all and are marked unverifiable rather than disputed.","score_delta":0,"sequence_num":6,"submission_content_hash":null,"submission_id":null,"submission_kind":null,"submission_valence":null,"v":1}
