Verify a decision

Every moderation decision on AVOID.NET is anchored to the Solana blockchain. You don't have to trust us — you can verify cryptographically that we committed to a verdict at a specific moment and have not rewritten it.

How verification works

  1. We commit. When a moderator accepts/rejects a submission, we serialize the decision into deterministic UTF-8 bytes (payload_canonical_string), hash it with SHA-256, encode the digest as base58, and write it to Solana inside an SPL Memo v2 transaction.
  2. We store the bytes. The exact bytes we hashed are stored alongside the decision in our database. Anyone can read them and recompute the hash in any language.
  3. You compare three values. Database hash, your independently-recomputed hash, and the hash inside the on-chain memo. If all three match, the decision is authentic and timestamped.
The on-chain memo format is AVOID.NET|v1|h:<b58-sha256>|d:<id>|t:<iso>

Find a signature on any investigation page's decision log, or run python -m src.verify_decision --signature <sig> for a CLI check.

Terms were not disclosed. Valantis Labs took over operations, development and scaling. Addison Spiegel, founder of Thunderhead (StakedHYPE's parent), joined Valantis as an advisor, and Thunderhead's six-person team did not move over. The Block reported Valantis was backed by Kraken Ventures, Figment Capital and Robot Ventures and raised $7.5 million at a $40 million valuation in November 2024. Valantis also operates STEX, an AMM for staked assets with stHYPE and kHYPE pools, so the issuer of stHYPE and a main venue for trading it are the same organisation (vertical integration, which Valantis's CEO described as the strategy). It says protocol execution is managed by smart contracts without centralized custody, and that keeper functions handle staking, unstaking and rebasing and do not custody funds. Staking Rewards describes yield as coming from a curated, diversified validator set on HyperCore. Valantis's published pages reviewed do not explain how individual validators are selected; the deployer accounts' allocation is said to follow a Deployer Curation Process. Deployer accounts earn a premium but carry 30 to 183 day recall periods and additional deployer slashing risk. Valantis documents that, as of 19 September 2026, the two deployer addresses held no stake after the Ethena HyENA HIP-3 exchange sunset.
