Verify a decision

Every moderation decision on AVOID.NET is anchored to the Solana blockchain. You don't have to trust us — you can verify cryptographically that we committed to a verdict at a specific moment and have not rewritten it.

How verification works

  1. We commit. When a moderator accepts/rejects a submission, we serialize the decision into deterministic UTF-8 bytes (payload_canonical_string), hash it with SHA-256, encode the digest as base58, and write it to Solana inside an SPL Memo v2 transaction.
  2. We store the bytes. The exact bytes we hashed are stored alongside the decision in our database. Anyone can read them and recompute the hash in any language.
  3. You compare three values. Database hash, your independently-recomputed hash, and the hash inside the on-chain memo. If all three match, the decision is authentic and timestamped.
The on-chain memo format is AVOID.NET|v1|h:<b58-sha256>|d:<id>|t:<iso>

Find a signature on any investigation page's decision log, or run python -m src.verify_decision --signature <sig> for a CLI check.

However, several specific details do not withstand verification: the claim that Tudou ranks third behind 'Huione Guarantee ($27 billion) and Xinbi Guarantee' is not supported by the cited Elliptic source (which never names Xinbi) and contradicts the page's own later statement that Xinbi processed only $8-9 billion, less than Tudou's $12 billion; the statement that Huione Group 'is itself designated a subsidiary of Prince Group' overstates a relationship that Chinese authorities assert but that U.S. Treasury materials describe only operationally, and that has been explicitly denied by a Prince Group spokesperson; the claim that FinCEN's final rule 'took effect' on October 16, 2025 confuses the Federal Register publication date with the rule's actual effective date of November 17, 2025; and the $18.1 million single-day refund peak is dated to 'January 5' on the page, while every other account of the same Bitrace data describes the peak as falling on a Sunday, which in January 2026 was January 4, not January 5. The MEXC News URL cited for the refund figures is also dead (HTTP 410), though an archived snapshot exists and should be substituted in. No accepted community submissions exist for this page, so evidence_review is empty by design rather than by omission.","score_delta":0,"sequence_num":4,"submission_content_hash":null,"submission_id":null,"submission_kind":null,"submission_valence":null,"v":1}
