Verify a decision
Every moderation decision on AVOID.NET is anchored to the Solana blockchain. You don't have to trust us — you can verify cryptographically that we committed to a verdict at a specific moment and have not rewritten it.
How verification works
- We commit. When a moderator accepts/rejects a submission, we serialize the decision into deterministic UTF-8 bytes (
payload_canonical_string), hash it with SHA-256, encode the digest as base58, and write it to Solana inside an SPL Memo v2 transaction. - We store the bytes. The exact bytes we hashed are stored alongside the decision in our database. Anyone can read them and recompute the hash in any language.
- You compare three values. Database hash, your independently-recomputed hash, and the hash inside the on-chain memo. If all three match, the decision is authentic and timestamped.
The on-chain memo format is
AVOID.NET|v1|h:<b58-sha256>|d:<id>|t:<iso>Find a signature on any investigation page's decision log, or run python -m src.verify_decision --signature <sig> for a CLI check.

Verdict: over-penalized. Page content is treated as accurate; the trust_score band is miscalibrated. Meteora is a legitimate, actively-operating Solana DEX (rebranded from Mercurial Finance in 2023) that is a top-3 protocol on Solana by volume and TVL as of mid-2026. The CRITICAL/14 score reflects serious but unresolved civil allegations: co-founder Ben Chow and Kelsier Labs CEO Hayden Davis are named defendants in Hurlock v. Kelsier Ventures (SDNY 1:25-cv-03891), alleging coordinated pump-and-dump schemes across 15+ tokens including M3M3, LIBRA, and MELANIA with ~$57-69M in claimed retail losses. However, no criminal charges have been filed, no conviction exists, the $57M USDC TRO was vacated in August 2025 with the presiding judge expressing skepticism about the plaintiffs' likelihood of success, and Chow has consistently denied wrongdoing. The primary alleged fraudster is Kelsier Labs' Hayden Davis; Meteora's protocol served as the DEX infrastructure. The entity is not fraudulent in the sense of an exit scam or Ponzi — it continues operating with billion-dollar liquidity. The correct band is WARNING (28/100): serious, unresolved litigation with credible evidence of insider misconduct by named individuals, but no confirmed judicial finding of fraud by the entity itself and continued legitimate operation as a major DeFi protocol.","score_delta":0,"sequence_num":4,"submission_content_hash":null,"submission_id":null,"submission_kind":null,"submission_valence":null,"v":1}
