Verify a decision

Every moderation decision on AVOID.NET is anchored to the Solana blockchain. You don't have to trust us — you can verify cryptographically that we committed to a verdict at a specific moment and have not rewritten it.

How verification works

  1. We commit. When a moderator accepts/rejects a submission, we serialize the decision into deterministic UTF-8 bytes (payload_canonical_string), hash it with SHA-256, encode the digest as base58, and write it to Solana inside an SPL Memo v2 transaction.
  2. We store the bytes. The exact bytes we hashed are stored alongside the decision in our database. Anyone can read them and recompute the hash in any language.
  3. You compare three values. Database hash, your independently-recomputed hash, and the hash inside the on-chain memo. If all three match, the decision is authentic and timestamped.
The on-chain memo format is AVOID.NET|v1|h:<b58-sha256>|d:<id>|t:<iso>

Find a signature on any investigation page's decision log, or run python -m src.verify_decision --signature <sig> for a CLI check.

With SOL trading around $91, those holdings were reported to be worth roughly $635 million, implying approximately $955 million in unrealized losses. For the quarter ended December 31, 2025, the company reported a net loss of $585.65 million, driven largely by a $560.2 million unrealized loss on digital assets, plus a $33 million impairment on its liquid-staking token, fwdSOL. Forward's shares peaked near $46 on September 12, 2025, and had fallen to roughly $4.71 by the time of the report, a decline reported alongside a 48% drop in SOL over the same period. The company's market-cap-to-NAV ratio was reported at approximately 0.62x, meaning the market valued the company below the value of its SOL holdings. Reporting indicates Kyle Samani stepped down as a manager of Multicoin Capital Management effective January 31, 2026, while remaining Forward's chairman. On March 19, 2026, Forward repurchased approximately 6.16 million shares from Multicoin Capital Master Fund LP — a related party — for about $27.37 million ($4.44 per share). Forward financed this buyback with a $40 million loan from Galaxy Digital, carrying a weighted-average interest rate of approximately 3.4%, secured by fwdSOL from Forward's own treasury. In late April and early May 2026, Multicoin assigned remaining warrants and common shares to Lemmings Holdings, an entity associated with Samani, and on May 8, 2026 filed a Schedule 13D amendment describing it as a final exit filing reporting zero beneficial ownership. Reporting also describes a public dispute in which Samani criticized Multicoin over a separate policy initiative it backed, after the exit. The company reported a further quarterly net loss of about $69 million as lower SOL prices affected its holdings, and reportedly continued purchasing SOL even after this loss, reaching approximately 7.81 million SOL-equivalents by early August 2026.
