Verify a decision
Every moderation decision on AVOID.NET is anchored to the Solana blockchain. You don't have to trust us — you can verify cryptographically that we committed to a verdict at a specific moment and have not rewritten it.
How verification works
- We commit. When a moderator accepts/rejects a submission, we serialize the decision into deterministic UTF-8 bytes (
payload_canonical_string), hash it with SHA-256, encode the digest as base58, and write it to Solana inside an SPL Memo v2 transaction. - We store the bytes. The exact bytes we hashed are stored alongside the decision in our database. Anyone can read them and recompute the hash in any language.
- You compare three values. Database hash, your independently-recomputed hash, and the hash inside the on-chain memo. If all three match, the decision is authentic and timestamped.
The on-chain memo format is
AVOID.NET|v1|h:<b58-sha256>|d:<id>|t:<iso>Find a signature on any investigation page's decision log, or run python -m src.verify_decision --signature <sig> for a CLI check.

The core narrative -- Modern Tech's MLM structure, the 40-48% return promises, recruitment commissions, the April 2018 investor protest, and the identification of eight named founders -- remains corroborated by independent contemporaneous sources (claim_findings[3], [4], [15], [16]). However, the page contains multiple internal contradictions: it dates the cash-to-iFan-token switch to both January and April 2018 in different sections (claim_findings[5], [11]); its opening timeline date and founding-date framing conflict with Vietnamese corporate records showing Modern Tech JSC existed for roughly four months, not the year-plus the page implies (claim_findings[9], [10]); it states the April 2018 protest involved 'hundreds' of people when its own cited Vice article says 'dozens' (claim_findings[14]); and it misdates a key government directive by a week while merging two distinct official actions into one (claim_findings[13]). Two coverage gaps rated high priority go to the page's foundations: the headline $660 million and 32,000-investor figures trace only to victim and protester claims relayed by local media and were never confirmed by police, a court, or a regulator, and the page never discloses this; and the page's account simply stops in April 2018 with no mention that no charges, prosecution, or case closure was ever found through 2026. A named individual's documented account of a more limited role is also omitted. The reviewer's moderate confidence (0.75) and the fact that the disputed items are largely dating and scale errors rather than a refutation of the central allegation keep the penalty toward the lower half of this band rather than the top.","score_delta":-20,"sequence_num":3,"submission_content_hash":null,"submission_id":null,"submission_kind":null,"submission_valence":null,"v":1}
