Verify a decision
Every moderation decision on AVOID.NET is anchored to the Solana blockchain. You don't have to trust us — you can verify cryptographically that we committed to a verdict at a specific moment and have not rewritten it.
How verification works
- We commit. When a moderator accepts/rejects a submission, we serialize the decision into deterministic UTF-8 bytes (
payload_canonical_string), hash it with SHA-256, encode the digest as base58, and write it to Solana inside an SPL Memo v2 transaction. - We store the bytes. The exact bytes we hashed are stored alongside the decision in our database. Anyone can read them and recompute the hash in any language.
- You compare three values. Database hash, your independently-recomputed hash, and the hash inside the on-chain memo. If all three match, the decision is authentic and timestamped.
The on-chain memo format is
AVOID.NET|v1|h:<b58-sha256>|d:<id>|t:<iso>Find a signature on any investigation page's decision log, or run python -m src.verify_decision --signature <sig> for a CLI check.

FIFA has not officially launched any cryptocurrency, fiat-pegged token, or blockchain coin in connection with the 2026 World Cup. While this PSA focused on ticket-fraud phishing rather than token scams specifically, it identified cryptocurrency payment requests as a key indicator of fraud and directed victims to report incidents to ic3.gov. As of the research window (March through May 2026), GHOST STADIUM had registered more than 4,300 FIFA-impersonating domains since August 2025, with over 300 active phishing domains and approximately 3,800 additional domains parked and pre-positioned for activation. The kit reproduces fifa.com with near-perfect visual accuracy, including a cloned PingIdentity single sign-on flow using spoofed client_id 35072598-fc20-4142-a469-1b940db47e6f. Cryptocurrency enters the scheme at the payment layer: phishing sites offer an Alchemy Pay on-ramp that converts approximately $195 USD card payments into approximately 185 USDT, settled to Binance Smart Chain (BSC) via a gateway identified as ChainUGO (testnet.chainugo.com). Fourteen shared hosting IP addresses were identified. A second site displayed FIFA's official tournament mascot to sell an unlicensed token without any FIFA affiliation. A token called OFDR ('Official FIFA Defense Reserve') also appeared on Solana markets, using mock-bureaucratic language to mimic an institutional body; according to analysis by Bitrue, its own website states it is a fictional institutional concept for demonstration purposes only, and there is no verified evidence of FIFA affiliation. Malwarebytes specifically warns that anyone who connects a wallet to these airdrop sites risks unauthorized transaction approval and full wallet drainage, not just loss of tokens purchased. For fake-airdrop token sites, the harm path typically involves prompting users to connect a Web3 wallet and sign a transaction approving token spend, which in malicious implementations grants the operator unlimited access to drain the wallet. For phishing ticketing sites in the GHOST STADIUM campaign, crypto payment is offered as a checkout option; Group-IB confirmed that funds routed through the Alchemy Pay on-ramp settle in USDT on Binance Smart Chain and are irrecoverable once confirmed. Law enforcement agencies uniformly note that FIFA's official ticketing system does not accept cryptocurrency as payment, making any FIFA ticketing site offering crypto checkout a reliable indicator of fraud.
