Verify a decision

Every moderation decision on AVOID.NET is anchored to the Solana blockchain. You don't have to trust us — you can verify cryptographically that we committed to a verdict at a specific moment and have not rewritten it.

How verification works

  1. We commit. When a moderator accepts/rejects a submission, we serialize the decision into deterministic UTF-8 bytes (payload_canonical_string), hash it with SHA-256, encode the digest as base58, and write it to Solana inside an SPL Memo v2 transaction.
  2. We store the bytes. The exact bytes we hashed are stored alongside the decision in our database. Anyone can read them and recompute the hash in any language.
  3. You compare three values. Database hash, your independently-recomputed hash, and the hash inside the on-chain memo. If all three match, the decision is authentic and timestamped.
The on-chain memo format is AVOID.NET|v1|h:<b58-sha256>|d:<id>|t:<iso>

Find a signature on any investigation page's decision log, or run python -m src.verify_decision --signature <sig> for a CLI check.

The reviewer independently re-ran these searches and reproduced the same negative finding, confirming 5 of 7 claims outright (claim_findings[0], [2], [3], [4], [6]) with zero claims actually disputed. The remaining two items (claim_findings[1], [5]) are marked 'unverifiable' only because they are explicitly speculative or interpretive statements the page itself frames as hypotheses, not factual assertions — the reviewer notes neither materially misleads a reader. The lone coverage gap of note (listing which similarly-named tokens were ruled out) is medium priority, not high, so it does not warrant withholding approval. There is no evidence of link rot, staleness, or disputed core claims to justify a penalty."},"decided_at":"2026-09-02T00:35:27.761Z","decision":"review_approve","delist_requested":false,"disputed_pct":0.2857,"investigation_id":"fe7dc7e7-46d3-435b-a7f5-01eb749cdacc","new_score":50,"page_slug":"ottersex","prev_score":50,"reason":"This page reports a genuine null result — no crypto entity named 'Ottersex' could be located across web sources, DexScreener, CoinMarketCap, CoinGecko, pump.fun, or social media.
