Verify a decision
Every moderation decision on AVOID.NET is anchored to the Solana blockchain. You don't have to trust us — you can verify cryptographically that we committed to a verdict at a specific moment and have not rewritten it.
How verification works
- We commit. When a moderator accepts/rejects a submission, we serialize the decision into deterministic UTF-8 bytes (
payload_canonical_string), hash it with SHA-256, encode the digest as base58, and write it to Solana inside an SPL Memo v2 transaction. - We store the bytes. The exact bytes we hashed are stored alongside the decision in our database. Anyone can read them and recompute the hash in any language.
- You compare three values. Database hash, your independently-recomputed hash, and the hash inside the on-chain memo. If all three match, the decision is authentic and timestamped.
The on-chain memo format is
AVOID.NET|v1|h:<b58-sha256>|d:<id>|t:<iso>Find a signature on any investigation page's decision log, or run python -m src.verify_decision --signature <sig> for a CLI check.

The poem was fractionalized as an NFT into roughly one trillion pieces that trade as a standard Solana token under the new Token Extensions (Token-2022) framework. Jupiter used the Wen launch as a large-scale stress test of its new token launchpad ahead of its own JUP token airdrop. Claiming began at 10 a.m. ET on Friday, January 26, 2024, with eligibility extended to more than one million Solana wallets, including recent Jupiter users, Solana Saga phone owners, and holders of certain NFT collections. According to the project, 100% of supply was airdropped or placed into liquidity, with no team wallet, treasury allocation, or token unlock schedule.","heading":"Origin and Jupiter-Led Airdrop","severity":"low","sources":[{"credibility":2,"name":"Decrypt: WEN Token? The claim window closed the following Monday at 10 a.m. ET, after which project organizers burned more than 271 billion unclaimed WEN tokens — reported at the time to be worth over $35 million and equal to roughly 27% of total token supply (about 39% of the airdrop allocation that went unclaimed). News coverage noted the token subsequently plunged in price as recipients who claimed or bought tokens sold them off. Some third-party price trackers (e.g., CoinMarketCap and Birdeye) briefly displayed anomalous per-token price spikes in the thousands of dollars shortly after launch, which outlets attributed to data/decimal display glitches rather than genuine trading levels; this discrepancy is noted here for completeness but is of low confidence given it was not independently confirmed as a market event.","heading":"Airdrop Volatility and Unclaimed-Token Burn","severity":"medium","sources":[{"credibility":2,"name":"Decrypt: Solana Traders Send WEN on Wild Ride After $35 Million in Tokens Burned","type":"news_article","url":"https://decrypt.co/214643/solana-traders-wen-wild-ride-after-burning-35-million-tokens"},{"credibility":2,"name":"Decrypt: This Week in Crypto Twitter: Turbulent Token Launches for WEN and JUP","type":"news_article","url":"https://decrypt.co/215654/this-week-in-crypto-turbulent-token-launches-for-wen-and-jup-plus-vitaliks-retreat"},{"credibility":2,"name":"Yahoo/Malaysia: Solana's WEN Token Plummets Despite Burning 27% of Supply","type":"news_article","url":"https://malaysia.news.yahoo.com/solanas-wen-token-plummets-despite-180310737.html"}]},{"content":"Security researchers have identified phishing domains, including rewards-wen.network and wens.network, that impersonated the Wen brand to promote fake 'Wen | Airdrop' claim pages. The $MEOW token reportedly reached a market capitalization of roughly $30 million within seconds before the promotional posts were deleted and the token's value collapsed, with several traders reporting losses.
