Verify a decision
Every moderation decision on AVOID.NET is anchored to the Solana blockchain. You don't have to trust us — you can verify cryptographically that we committed to a verdict at a specific moment and have not rewritten it.
How verification works
- We commit. When a moderator accepts/rejects a submission, we serialize the decision into deterministic UTF-8 bytes (
payload_canonical_string), hash it with SHA-256, encode the digest as base58, and write it to Solana inside an SPL Memo v2 transaction. - We store the bytes. The exact bytes we hashed are stored alongside the decision in our database. Anyone can read them and recompute the hash in any language.
- You compare three values. Database hash, your independently-recomputed hash, and the hash inside the on-chain memo. If all three match, the decision is authentic and timestamped.
The on-chain memo format is
AVOID.NET|v1|h:<b58-sha256>|d:<id>|t:<iso>Find a signature on any investigation page's decision log, or run python -m src.verify_decision --signature <sig> for a CLI check.

According to a pre-launch AMA published on Medium in March 2021, the platform proposed splitting user data across multiple independent storage nodes rather than relying on centralized providers such as Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud. Users were meant to pay for storage using the project's native token, TTDX, while node operators would earn TTDX by providing disk space. Nodes reportedly required 2 TB to 24 TB of storage, a minimum 5 Mbps upstream connection, and 99.3% monthly uptime. The concept drew loose comparisons to projects like Sia or Storj that had pursued similar decentralized-storage models on other chains. According to multiple contemporaneous reports, the presale sold out in approximately two hours, raising 9,000 BNB — worth roughly $2.4 million to $2.5 million at prevailing prices. The native token, TTDX, was subsequently listed on PancakeSwap and ApeSwap, two of the largest decentralized exchanges on BSC. The project had also announced an Initial JetFuel Offering (IJO) in partnership with JetFuel Finance, a BSC-based yield farming protocol, which provided additional marketing reach and apparent legitimacy. Token unlocking was reported to have occurred around March 18, 2021, at approximately 15:00 UTC — one day before the rug pull. The Etherscan address 0x473998a6efeb8c676d369e105afb6cc73a0fadbc was cited in Decrypt's reporting as associated with the fund outflows. TechRate's audit found no severe security vulnerabilities in the contracts. A second audit by SlowMist was allegedly in progress at the time of the presale, though no report was ever published given the project's sudden disappearance. The TechRate audit did not prevent the exit scam because rug pulls of this type typically exploit the administrator's retained ability to remove liquidity rather than a code-level vulnerability — a risk that standard smart-contract audits often do not assess or report on. The TurtleDex incident reinforced a broader critique, already prominent after the Meerkat Finance rug pull two weeks earlier, about the limited protective value of audits from smaller or less established firms when liquidity is not locked and team identities are not verified.","heading":"Smart Contract Audit and Effectiveness","severity":"high","sources":[{"credibility":2,"name":"CryptoPotato — TurtleDex Drains $2.5 Million in BNB","type":"news_article","url":"https://cryptopotato.com/another-binance-smart-chain-rug-pull-turtledex-drains-2-5-million-in-bnb/"},{"credibility":2,"name":"CryptoSlate — TurtleDex pulls the rug on its users and steals $2.5 million","type":"news_article","url":"https://cryptoslate.com/binance-smart-chain-project-turtledex-pulls-the-rug-on-its-users-and-steals-2-5-million/"},{"credibility":2,"name":"Bitcoin.com News — TurtleDex Rug Pulls With Tokens Worth $2.5M Confirmed Stolen","type":"news_article","url":"https://news.bitcoin.com/another-binance-smart-chain-project-turtledex-rug-pulls-with-tokens-worth-2-5-million-confirmed-stolen/"}]},{"content":"JetFuel Finance, a BSC yield farming protocol that had partnered with TurtleDex on an Initial JetFuel Offering, published a Medium post on or around March 19, 2021, confirming the rug pull and announcing that TurtleDex had been delisted from its platform. Meerkat Finance had executed a much larger rug pull on March 5, 2021, stealing approximately 13.96 million BUSD and 73,635 BNB (totalling roughly $30–31 million), though the Meerkat team later claimed it was an 'experiment' and returned the funds — an outcome that did not occur with TurtleDex. The frequency of BSC rug pulls was widely attributed to low deployment costs, minimal due diligence requirements from prominent DEXs at the time, and the pseudonymous nature of most project teams. CoinTelegraph noted in its coverage that TurtleDex represented a pattern of 'copied code' projects that raised capital in the presale phase and then exited before delivering any product. The episode contributed to industry discussion about the need for liquidity locking, KYC verification for project teams, and more robust audit standards that assess administrative key risk rather than code quality alone.
