Verify a decision

Every moderation decision on AVOID.NET is anchored to the Solana blockchain. You don't have to trust us — you can verify cryptographically that we committed to a verdict at a specific moment and have not rewritten it.

How verification works

  1. We commit. When a moderator accepts/rejects a submission, we serialize the decision into deterministic UTF-8 bytes (payload_canonical_string), hash it with SHA-256, encode the digest as base58, and write it to Solana inside an SPL Memo v2 transaction.
  2. We store the bytes. The exact bytes we hashed are stored alongside the decision in our database. Anyone can read them and recompute the hash in any language.
  3. You compare three values. Database hash, your independently-recomputed hash, and the hash inside the on-chain memo. If all three match, the decision is authentic and timestamped.
The on-chain memo format is AVOID.NET|v1|h:<b58-sha256>|d:<id>|t:<iso>

Find a signature on any investigation page's decision log, or run python -m src.verify_decision --signature <sig> for a CLI check.

Within two weeks of launch, the price had fallen below $20. By mid-2026, the token was trading near $1.50–$1.70, representing a decline of more than 97% from its peak. A Chainalysis on-chain analysis shared with CNBC found that approximately 764,000 wallets that purchased the token have recorded net losses. Rolling Stone and The New York Times reported that more than 810,000 wallets lost a combined $2 billion in the first 19 days of trading alone. Subsequent analyses placed aggregate retail losses above $700 million as of mid-2026, while Reuters calculated that the Trump family's broader crypto ventures — including the memecoin, World Liberty Financial, and related entities — generated roughly $2.3 billion in pretax income, a figure that approximately matched the aggregate losses across retail participants in those same ventures. A $10,000 investment at the token's inauguration-day price would have been worth approximately $364 by mid-2026. Trump's June 2026 Office of Government Ethics financial disclosure reported $635 million in royalties from the token, funneled through a licensing agreement with an entity called 'Celebration Coins' for which no public digital footprint could be found. As the token collapsed more than 97% from its January 2025 peak of approximately $74, on-chain analysis by Chainalysis attributed losses of over $700 million to retail buyers across more than 764,000 wallets, while legal experts, Senate investigators, and ethics watchdogs raised alarms that the token's anonymous purchase mechanism created an untraceable channel for gifts and influence payments to a sitting president.","timeline":[{"date":"2025-01-17","event":"$TRUMP token launched on Solana by CIC Digital LLC and Fight Fight Fight LLC, with 80% of the 1-billion token supply retained by insider entities and 20% released to the public at $0.18.","source":"DataWallet / CoinMarketCap","source_url":"https://www.datawallet.com/crypto/trump-meme-coin-explained"},{"date":"2025-01-19","event":"$TRUMP token reached an all-time high of approximately $73–$74, giving the token a fully diluted valuation above $70 billion.","source":"CoinMarketCap / TheStreet","source_url":"https://www.thestreet.com/crypto/markets/this-is-what-a-1000-investment-in-trump-coin-looks-like-today"},{"date":"2025-01-20","event":"President Trump inaugurated for second term; $TRUMP token began its sustained decline from peak.","source":"Multiple news outlets","source_url":"https://www.newsweek.com/10k-investment-in-trump-crypto-coin-on-inauguration-day-worth-364-today-12150504"},{"date":"2025-02-28","event":"SEC and Justin Sun filed a joint motion to pause the agency's 2023 fraud case against Sun; the federal judge granted the motion shortly after Sun had become the largest known holder of $TRUMP.","source":"CNN Business","source_url":"https://www.cnn.com/2025/02/28/business/crypto-mogul-trump-coins-civil-fraud-charges"},{"date":"2025-05-06","event":"Chainalysis on-chain analysis shared with CNBC found 764,000 wallets had recorded net losses on $TRUMP; 58 wallets had each made over $10 million.","source":"CNBC","source_url":"https://www.cnbc.com/2025/05/06/trump-meme-coin-crypto.html"},{"date":"2025-05-07","event":"Senator Blumenthal, as Ranking Member of the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, opened a formal inquiry into the $TRUMP cryptocurrency and associated Trump family crypto ventures.","source":"Sen.
