Verify a decision

Every moderation decision on AVOID.NET is anchored to the Solana blockchain. You don't have to trust us — you can verify cryptographically that we committed to a verdict at a specific moment and have not rewritten it.

How verification works

  1. We commit. When a moderator accepts/rejects a submission, we serialize the decision into deterministic UTF-8 bytes (payload_canonical_string), hash it with SHA-256, encode the digest as base58, and write it to Solana inside an SPL Memo v2 transaction.
  2. We store the bytes. The exact bytes we hashed are stored alongside the decision in our database. Anyone can read them and recompute the hash in any language.
  3. You compare three values. Database hash, your independently-recomputed hash, and the hash inside the on-chain memo. If all three match, the decision is authentic and timestamped.
The on-chain memo format is AVOID.NET|v1|h:<b58-sha256>|d:<id>|t:<iso>

Find a signature on any investigation page's decision log, or run python -m src.verify_decision --signature <sig> for a CLI check.

A third co-founder role, Chief Operations Officer, was held by William Liao, who brought a decade of experience at Fortune 100 financial firms. The exchange was incorporated and headquartered in the Seychelles for its international-facing operations (ProBit Global), while a separate entity, ProBit Korea, served South Korean domestic users under Korean Financial Services Commission oversight. At its peak the platform claimed more than 3 million registered users, support for over 600 cryptocurrencies across 800+ trading pairs, and users in over 190 countries with 40+ language interfaces. ProBit did not obtain such authorization. New signups and deposits for EU/EEA accounts were disabled immediately upon the announcement. All spot trading for EU/EEA accounts was suspended on December 26, 2025 at 00:00 UTC. By December 30, 2025 at 23:59 UTC, account logins from EU/EEA IP addresses were blocked entirely. The exchange instructed affected users to cancel open orders, convert illiquid tokens to major assets such as USDT or BTC before the trading deadline, withdraw all assets to external wallets, and download transaction history for tax record-keeping. Spot trading across all markets was halted on January 28, 2026 at 08:00 UTC+8, with all open orders automatically canceled and new deposits blocked. Per the Terms of Service quoted in multiple contemporaneous news reports, any assets not withdrawn by April 1, 2026 at 07:59 UTC+8 were 'considered abandoned and permanently lost.' Following the close of standard withdrawals on February 26, 2026, a Late Asset Return Period was available from March 1, 2026 through March 31, 2026 via email-only manual processing. Access to this period required users to have completed KYC or AML verification. During the Late Asset Return Period, ProBit imposed a monthly administrative fee equal to the greater of 10% of the Initial Balance or 30 USDT. Critically, this fee amount was calculated based on the initial balance at the start of the period and did not decrease even if the remaining balance declined, meaning accounts with modest balances could be fully consumed by fees before the April 1 deadline. If cumulative fees exceeded the remaining balance, ProBit reserved the right to administratively close the account and forfeit the remaining assets. Additional alleged complaints described pressure from parties claiming to be ProBit support agents to deposit additional funds to unfreeze accounts — a pattern consistent with pig-butchering or impersonation fraud. ProBit itself publicly warned that it would never request additional deposits to unfreeze an account, suggesting awareness of such impersonation schemes targeting its user base.
